Closing ceremony

Opening at the Grand Rex – a symbol of the dream of popular cinema. Closing at the Pathé Palace - a venue deeply connected to the origins of world cinema. In a way, this also mirrors the journey of Vietnamese cinema itself: from works imbued with memories of war, to a path of innovation and creativity aimed at a confident integration into the global stage - while remaining deeply rooted in its national cultural identity.

130 years after the invention of cinema by the Lumière brothers, this is the first time that a Vietnamese Film Week, featuring such a wide selection of films over such an extended period, has been held in some of Paris’s most iconic venues. “Vietnam Film Week
- The Journey of Light” is not only the story of Vietnamese cinema opening up to the world, but also an initiative to strengthen cultural and diplomatic ties between Vietnam and France, serving the development of culture - the shared heritage of humanity.
